Myself – honest, happy, ambitious and self-admitting that I can be challenging at times, but I’m also pretty carefree, full of a spark, spontaneous, love laughter and pretty content with my life. I’m always laughing; yes…this makes people wonder, as I find humor in most every situation. I guess that makes me an optimist. I too have a “restless stir” inside me that makes me want to travel and experience new things, to take that needed escape and get away on vacation, but would like someone to share it with. As, I tend to travel by myself more than not lately. However, being in my early 40’s…dating has not only been challenging, but exhausting and full of delightful moments of wonder. With all of the disappointments, I’ve learned quite a lot and I’m still optimistic that I’ll find love.
Someone once described me as…the girl next door type with a twist…lol. I am physically fit with curves. I am just as comfortable getting dressed up, as I am sitting on a bar stool in a dive bar or an evening on the sofa in sweats…I prefer skirts to pants and love dresses, love heels, but with these City streets. I will opt for a flat when walking any distance. I’m pretty mid to low maintenance, love going with no makeup when I can… However, I have preferences when it comes to wine, chocolate, flowers, and sheets. I am not offended by a dirty joke, and can dish out one of my own. Sarcasm is a spice of life, so bring it on. I love a challenge and am always game for banter.
I moved to NYC about 3 years ago for my career, and my family is in Texas… yes, at times I have some of that southern flare in my accent after a drink or two. I was born in upstate NY, moved around my entire childhood, mainly living in the South, then after college, and working in Dallas, Texas, I was recruited to St. Louis, Missouri for a job and lived there for almost 8 years, and have now been in New York City for several years and moved here for a new job, as well.
I work in Technology; I am a Human Resources consultant and ended up in technology after studying Art and English in school. Since being in my career, I’ve seemed to lose my sense of wonder at times, but escape into a museum here and there. I’ve always loved to write, after losing my creative gene to only writing work stuff, I’ve found myself here sharing my stories, life experiences of love, humor, and etc. Thanks for reading my posts about my life, online dating; searching for love, online dating, dating drama, family life, my life, and my everyday stories…and it all happens in New York City. Everyone moves to New York City to fall in love, right?!?
Lately, I think New York City is my boyfriend…as we go on dates all of the time together. I’ve never been alone since moving here…there are people everywhere!! Even in the Museum of Sex…with the best advice…haha!
